Equipment
The equipment, herein referred to as “the equipment,” is and shall remain the exclusive property of Gadget Rental India. Borrowers do not possess any rights, claims, or interests in the equipment. Gadget Rental India does not assert any rights to images or videos created by the borrower while using the equipment. All equipment is thoroughly inspected for proper functioning before delivery. It is the borrower’s responsibility to ensure that the equipment is in good working condition upon receipt. Gadget Rental India shall not be liable for any defects or deficiencies unless promptly reported. Minor issues, such as scratches on the lens body or missing lens caps, should be noted on the delivery slip. Major issues, such as image stabilization or auto-focus malfunctions, warrant immediate equipment return. By agreeing to our rental terms, borrowers authorize any person signing for the equipment on their behalf to carry out these inspections. It is the borrower’s responsibility to ensure the suitability of the equipment for their intended purpose. Cross-hiring of our equipment to third parties is strictly prohibited.
Loss or Damage to Equipment (Lost/Stolen/Damage)
Throughout the rental period, the borrower is responsible for the safekeeping of the equipment, including lenses and applicable accessories. The borrower is liable to Gadget Rental India for any loss of or damage to the equipment, regardless of the cause. Material modifications or alterations to the equipment are not permitted. In case of material modifications, the borrower is responsible for covering all reasonable costs incurred by Gadget Rental India to restore the equipment to its original condition. The borrower must return the equipment in its original packaging, and a checklist must be completed to ensure no items, including lenses and accessories, are missing. Any loss or damage must be reported immediately. The borrower is responsible for repair costs, as well as daily rental charges until the equipment is repaired or replaced. Failure to return the equipment on time, non-responsiveness, or unavailability will prompt Gadget Rental India to involve appropriate security agencies for equipment recovery.
Cancellation
If the borrower cancels an order within four working days before the rental period begins, they may be liable to pay a cancellation charge, not exceeding the agreed rental fee.
Reservation
Upon booking equipment prior to the rental start date via online booking, Gadget Rental India will reserve the equipment as per rental period selected on the website. The borrower must make an advance payment of the total rental amount to reserve the equipment. Valid proof of identity must be provided via email or other modes as specified by sales team before equipment dispatch. Failure to provide proof of identity or lack of communication may result in reservation cancellation.
Delivery
Equipment will be dispatched on the day the rental period starts. There are two delivery options: delivery by an authorized executive or collection from the Gadget Rental India office with a prior appointment. Charges will be applicable as per courier fee.
Collection
The equipment must be returned in person to the Gadget Rental India office. Liability for the equipment remains with the borrower until it is safely returned.
Payment
Full payment for the entire rental period must be made before equipment dispatch or collection.
Usage of Equipment Outside India
Borrowers must notify Gadget Rental India if they intend to take the equipment outside India and obtain the necessary permission. Borrowers are responsible for declaring the equipment to customs before leaving India and for any customs fees imposed if the equipment is not declared.
Additional Rental Terms
- Free delivery is applicable only for orders delivered within 3 km & min. order value should be Rs. 500 to avail free delivery offer. For the rest orders delivery fee is applicable as per our partner courier fee.
- Shift rental is only applicable for orders having delivery and return time between 10:00 AM – 06:00 PM window.
- No additional discount can be applied on shift rental plan.
Customer needs to take full responsibility of the product. In case of any damage/theft of the product customer needs to pay full amount of the product.
